For many years, I have been a literacy lead teacher in the Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD), and conducted teacher training workshops in literacy both in and outside Palo Alto. My special interest is writing, for which I often create my own lessons and use materials from a wide variety of sources. I have been trained in the Reading and Writing Project through Teachers College at Columbia University.
I have been a teacher for 42 years, 34 of them in Palo Alto. I currently teach second grade at Palo Verde School. I have a MA in Early Childhood Ed, and have worked with students grades Pre-K through 8th grade.
